OSRS Raids 4, The Fractured Archive, launched on 20 October 2026. For players looking for a raiding clan, it gives a familiar question a fresh urgency: who are you going to learn it with? A regular group gives you people to discuss attempts with, arrange another evening and celebrate the clear you worked towards together.

The first week has brought creator clears, new guides and lively debate about difficulty and equipment. Some players are loving the challenge; others are struggling to find a welcoming team. This is our look at the launch conversation and what it means for OSRS PvM clans, checked on 26 October 2026.

The Fractured Archive: what your clan needs to know

  • Complete While Guthix Sleeps to access the raid. Check each member’s quest progress before scheduling a run.
  • The raid scales for two to eight players. Jagex recommends three to five; solo attempts use a two-player scaling floor.
  • Five encounters make up a run, with choices between bosses along the way. Discuss the route before you enter.
  • This is dangerous content. Hardcore Ironmen and Hardcore Group Ironmen lose their status if they die inside.
  • Check the current official update before a session: launch-week hotfixes have already changed Defence-reduction behaviour.

What creators, guides and players are saying about Raids 4

B0aty’s published completion video features Woox, Gnomonkey, Saxerpillar and Chriskies. It is a useful starting point if your group wants to watch a complete team run rather than discuss the raid only through equipment lists. Noahscape’s guide takes a different angle, explicitly covering “Budget to Max”. Treat these as learning resources to compare with current patch notes, not a requirement to copy another player’s bank.

The written coverage also puts grouping near the centre. MMORPG.com’s preview highlighted Jagex’s focus on group content and the recommended party size. OSRS Guide’s overview explains the lobby and spectating tools. Our takeaway for clan leaders is practical: make the route from reading a guide to joining a scheduled group as straightforward as possible.

There are encouraging first-clear stories. In an October 25 Reddit post, one player described finally getting a completion after roughly forty attempts and praised the experience of coordinating with friends. The launch discussion also includes players praising the raid’s scenery and boss designs. These are individual experiences, rather than evidence that every clan is enjoying the raid equally.

Other comments raise concerns about gear expectations, finding teammates and being turned away as a learner. Both sides matter. A clan can keep the excitement of progression while setting clear expectations about experience, supplies and time. Advertising a learner session means being prepared for learning, including mistakes.

Why learn The Fractured Archive with an OSRS clan?

The biggest advantage is continuity. With a regular clan team, the person explaining a mistake tonight can see the improvement next time. You can keep shared notes, agree on short calls and spend more of your evening attempting the raid instead of repeatedly finding replacements.

That does not mean every PvM clan is suitable for every player. A group pursuing fast clears may have little room to teach from scratch. A social clan may enjoy progression but run fewer sessions. Ask what “learner friendly” means in practice: who teaches, when the next session is, and whether someone with your experience can join it.

Clans also give progress somewhere to live outside the raid. A screenshot of a first clear, a useful explanation in Discord or a member offering to run the next learner evening can all help people feel part of the group. Those habits give you a reason to return even when a night does not end with a rare drop.

Raids 4 rewards: Obligator, Ascension crossbows and more

Reward names are prominent across launch coverage and equipment discussions. These are the names to recognise when clan chat turns to loot; an item’s place in a particular setup still depends on the encounter and current balancing.

  • Obligator: the raid’s rare crush weapon, with mechanics that reward suitable targets.
  • Ascension crossbows: dual crossbows using Ascension bolts, which are made with Ascension shards.
  • Zorya’s Tome: a two-handed magic weapon with a special attack.
  • Rondache: a shield that stores mitigated damage for a shield-bash attack.
  • Zeal: an unlockable upgrade to Piety. Elemental Fragments, the Archivist’s Folio and Ascension shards round out other account upgrades and utility rewards.

For a clan, the important conversation comes before any of these appear: are drops split or kept by the recipient? Agree on the treatment of Iron accounts, substitutes and borrowed gear. Put the rules in writing and make sure a new member sees them before the run. A clear agreement is more useful than an argument about a launch-week price.

How to find a Raids 4 clan or learner team

Start with OSRS raiding clans and PvM clans, then read the recruitment details. A listing gives you a starting point; contact the clan to confirm that it currently runs The Fractured Archive. An active clan may focus on other raids, and a Raids 4 team may only have room on certain evenings.

  • Check raid days, start times and time zone. Choose a team you can join consistently.
  • Ask whether the next group is learning, practising for first clears or farming completions.
  • Describe your raid experience honestly, including zero Raids 4 completions if you are starting out.
  • Confirm voice-chat expectations and tell the organiser if you need an alternative way to communicate.
  • Ask about equipment expectations and supply costs before accepting an invitation.
  • Check loot rules and the contact person for joining the next session.

A useful first message might be: “I have While Guthix Sleeps completed and want to learn The Fractured Archive. I can raid Tuesday and Thursday evenings in UK time, have experience at ToA, and have no Raids 4 clears yet. Do you run learner groups, and what should I bring?” Change the details to match your account. The aim is to make your availability and experience easy to understand.

Top recommended OSRS PvM clans to explore

Looking for an OSRS PvM clan while preparing for Raids 4? These five PvM listings had the most community recommendations on OSRS Clan Finder on 26 October 2026, in the order shown below. Recommendations reflect member support; choose a clan whose requirements, atmosphere and schedule fit you. These profiles cover broader PvM interests, so ask each clan about its current Fractured Archive teams and learner spaces before joining.

Clan rankings and recruitment requirements can change. Follow the profile links for current details, and use the PvM clan directory above to compare more communities. When contacting a clan, mention The Fractured Archive, your time zone and whether you want learner runs or repeat completions.

Running a clan? Make your Raids 4 recruitment specific

Update your clan profile with the raid name, your actual schedule and the type of players you are welcoming. “Fractured Archive learners on Wednesdays at 19:00 UTC” tells a prospective member much more than “all PvM”. Only advertise sessions you can run, and make the next step clear: join your Discord, message an organiser or attend an introduction.

After a session, record one thing the team improved and one thing to try next. Keep first-clear celebrations open to the whole group, including members who helped teach or filled in. That is how a raid launch can become an ongoing clan activity instead of one busy week.

OSRS Raids 4 clan questions

Do I need a clan to play The Fractured Archive?

Clan membership is not an entry requirement. Friends and other groups can form a party too. A clan is useful when you want recurring sessions, familiar teammates and a clear place to ask for help.

Can I join a Raids 4 clan without a completion?

Recruitment requirements are set by each clan. Look for an explicit learner invitation and ask about the next teaching session. Zero completions does not tell an organiser everything: share your other PvM experience, availability and equipment as well.

Should I buy the new rewards before learning the raid?

Check a current guide and talk to your organiser about a setup you can afford. A list of new rewards is not an entry checklist. Keep enough supplies for learning and confirm which items your particular team expects.
