How does it work?

A simple pipeline keeps the plugin useful while keeping moderation and ownership on the website.

1

Clan owners submit

Owners publish public recruitment details through the website.

2

Listings are reviewed

Approved listings become available to the directory and public API.

3

The plugin reads public data

RuneLite can display approved posts without game automation or private account access.

Prepare your clan listing

Approved website listings are the data the plugin is designed to display.

Plugin data disclosure

The plugin makes JSON listing requests, banner image requests, and event data requests to osrsclanfinder.com. Listed member totals come from Wise Old Man group stats or manual listing counts, not live online clan status.

Privacy policy

Support

Plugin support, listing concerns, privacy questions, and clan-owner help are handled through the public ClanFinder community support channel.

Plugin FAQ

Safety and data questions

Is the ClanFinder RuneLite plugin safe to use?

The plugin is designed as a read-only directory browser. It shows approved public clan listings, opens public links, and helps players copy clan chat names. It does not automate gameplay, join clans, send chat messages, or perform in-game actions.

Does the plugin collect my RuneScape account data?

No. The plugin does not send your RuneScape username, account type, stats, clan membership, chat messages, friends list, inventory, bank, location, or live online status to ClanFinder.

What data does the plugin request from ClanFinder?

It requests approved public listing data, event data, and listing images from osrsclanfinder.com. Normal web request metadata such as IP address, user agent, request time, and requested API path may be processed by the website infrastructure.

Where do clan listings come from?

Clan owners submit listings on the website. Approved listings can then appear in the web directory, public API, and RuneLite plugin. Some public stats may come from linked Wise Old Man groups when a clan owner enables them.

Can the plugin see private Discord or application data?

No. Discord servers, websites, and application forms are opened as external public links controlled by the clan. The plugin does not read private Discord channels or application responses.

How do I report a broken, unsafe, or outdated listing?

Open the clan's public listing on the website and use the report option, or contact support through the ClanFinder community Discord.
